Пракуи-куви:*goṛ-/*gur-
Значение:to aim; to observe
Куи:goṛpa (goṛt-) "to aim at, hit the mark; n. an aim, hitting the mark"
Куви (Шульце):gurri kīnai "to observe, point"
Куви (Израэль):gur- (-it-) "to aim at"
Комментарии:Both variants cannot be traced back to the same original. Maybe only one of them, probably the one in Kui, is the real PK form, and the other one is borrowed from Telugu.

Пракуи-куви:*gorp-
Значение:shell, skull
Сункараметта куви:gorpo "shell of tortoise, shell of egg"
Куви (Израэль):gorpa "shell of tortoise; skull"
Номер по DED:2129
Пракуи-куви:*gos-
Значение:to drink, swallow
Куи:gohpa (goht-) "(P) to swallow"
Куви (Шульце):ghoh'nai "to drink"
Сункараметта куви:goh- (gost-) "to drink"
Куви (Израэль):goh- (gost-) "to drink"
Комментарии:The temptation to unite this root with *gus-p- 'to swallow' is enormous, but since the meanings are clearly separate in such reliable sources as Kuwi_Su and Kuwi_Isr, and since there are no known phonetical processes that would lead to *-o- > *-u- or vice versa, we have to establish two different roots.
Куи:glōnga (glōngi-) "to be muddy, turbid, impure; n. turbidity"
Куви (Фитцджеральд):gōr̃r̃o/goṛṛo/gorro
Куви (Шульце):gōna ēyu "muddy water"
Куви (Израэль):gṇok- "to stir things in hot water"
Дополнительные формы:Also Kui glōpka (< glōk-p-; glōkt-) to make muddy or turbid, adulterate, use bad language against; n. act of making turbid, adulteration; Kuwi_S gōno puddle
Комментарии:The forms in Kui and Kuwi_Isr are verbal derivatives from the original *gōṇ-: *gōṇ-ng- is naturally metathesed in both languages. The development *gṇ- > Kui *gl- is possible, although this is almost the only known case. In Kuwi_F development *-ṇ- > -r-, as in *kiṇ-.
Номер по DED:1817
Пракуи-куви:*gōnǯ-/*gōs-
Значение:to stretch, string (a bow)
Куи:kōnja (kōnji-) "to stretch something from one point to another, string a bow; n. an arch"
Дополнительные формы:Also Kui kohpa (koht-) to stretch up the arm, hold out the hand; kohponḍi the highest reach of the hand or arm; Kuwi_F gōssali (gōst-) to offer; Kuwi_Isr gōh- to hand over, pass
Комментарии:The situation with this root (or these two roots) is complicated not only because of irregular *g- > k- in Kui (or vice versa?), but also because the regular p-conjugation form would be kospa in Kui. There are, indeed, a few irregular exceptions, but the fact that the p-forms here are not regular causatives, makes it very much probable that in this case we deal with two different roots. This does not, however, eliminate the problem of irregular devoicening in Kui.
Дополнительные формы:Also Kui grōpa (grōt-) to claw, scratch; n. act of clawing, scratching, a scratch
Комментарии:Extremely interesting is Kui unguli, (K) unjuli, which are most certainly borrowings, maybe from Telugu. What has Latin ungulus to do with that? Kui grōpa < *gōr-pa; this qword should certainly belong here and not to DED 2257, as B&E think.
Куи:grāmba (grāmbi-) "to learn, study; n. act of learning, study"
Куви (Фитцджеральд):japali
Куви (Шульце):jāpinai
Сункараметта куви:jāp- (-it-)
Дополнительные формы:Also Kui grāppa (grāpt-) to teach, instruct, instigate; n. instruction, teaching, doctrine, instigation; Kuwi_F jāphali to teach; Kuwi_Su jāp- (-h-) to teach
Комментарии:In Kuwi the simple base was modified by analogy with the causative stem.
